Thank you for your magical house, where everything is sorted so easily – nice breakfast wonderful view, beautiful decoration and a host who made everything possible. We loved being here, felt like part of Uçhisar village and we loved having breakfast on the terrace with balloons passing by so close. Hope to come back again.

The pleasure of staying at the beautiful Asmalı Cave House is exceeded only by that of having had the opportunity to meet and spend time with you. As architects we deeply appreciated the evident love and care taken to restore this intimate and special home. At each turn there is something to delight and surprise. We feel in Asmalı we have found a home in Cappadocia. And thank you and everyone who made our stay so comfortable and so cosy. We hope that many more of the wonderful buildings here benefit from your care and attention in the near future – Local Champion!
Lastly we felt lucky to get a glimpse into your special Cappadocia – the sites we visited with your were magical. And we would not have found them without you!!! The warmth and hospitality at Asmalı Cave House is second to none – we feel lucky to have found it and here to have the opportunity to return for a longer visit.

We had a brilliant stay at your lovely Asmalı Cave House. It has been a great honeymoon stay! We had great fun as well, driving with you and Rudi along the breathtaking views of Cappadocia. A little coffee talk in the morning – you are a wonderful host! But probably most we enjoyed our BBQs every evening on the beautiful terrace with spectacular views on both sides. To Evelyn, Ikbal and those, who have made Asmalı Cave House possible.
There are some places you travel to which includes the customary tourist sites, restaurants and hotels, and although we managed to do ‘few of these’, we de didn’t get through it all. Why? We did not come with a plan or even a guide book and we entirely relied on Evelyn – I mean 120% dependent on her to organize each day. I must say that no matter how much you read in a book or in the internet, nothing will come close to how well Evelyn knows of the unique places to visit or the last of characters that makes Uçhisar the place it is. Simply following Evelyn around town is entertainment enough. To be honest, we actually enjoyed meeting and knowing the people in this beautiful town more than visiting the tourist sites. Not to take anything away from these sites, but knowing the unique lives of the individuals here, their stories and faith make them Uçhisarians were the most memorable part of our stay. Lastly, Ikbal took wonderful care of our apartment. Everything was immaculate and well placed. You will have everything you need here - and more. No, we did not get a chance to see everything – not even Göreme Open Air museum. But we got to know a little about the people here, took in some breathtaking sites and soaked in the Cappadocian spirit. That was what made our 4 night stay here wonderful!  Evelyn, many thanks for the interesting explanation of what goes into the building of a cave house. Your passion and attention are astonishing!!

We have had such a special time here in Cappadocia and especially in your Cave House.
Aiden, our 5 yr old said it is magical and I think that is a perfect decription. Our home for these last few days

And for us, it has been very cozy, romantic and peaceful.

This was our first stop in Turkey after 2 weeks in Egypt and WHAT a magical introduction to this

As musicians, we loved the acoustics of the cave; as artists we deeply appreciated the aesthetics
